image size: 9 1/8 x 6 5/8 in.

Calapai's inventive genius as a printmaker was probably most impressive in the series of color woodcuts he created in the late 1940s, which blend expressionism with surrealism. This proof was designated by the artist to be held from sale and only used for exhibtion purposes.

The work is in excellent condition
